Saturday was Weigh-In day and I was finally presented one of the most highly coveted Weight Watchers awards! Yes, my wonderful leader finally bestowed upon me the 10 percent Key ring! I couldn't have been more thrilled! I hit it exactly to the tenth of a pound, but I hit it! It really was a true feeling of success. You have heard it from me before, I have been on Weight Watchers 7- 8 times and this is the first time I have ever received the WW 10 percent key ring! I really wanted to do this at the meeting when I received my award but I didn't, so please excuse me while I give my acceptance speech...
"I would like to thank the Academy and its members (Weight Watchers and my WW group Sat. 6:30 AM ,you guys rock!), my Executive Producer (Me), my Manager (Cheryl, my WW leader!), and members of the wonderful cast in my life (my family and friends). Thank you from the depths of my heart. Without you this would not have been possible. I would be so honored if you would please stick with me as I work towards my next 10 percent. Thank You all!"
Okay, back to my regularly scheduled blog post....This time is really different. (Yep I have said that before, but it really is this time...I promise!) I have such a great Weight Watchers group and an awesome leader. My family and friends are so supportive. I believe it is very important to surround yourself with people who truly believe in you and want you to do this for yourself. This also is the first time I have taken my struggles and weight loss expedition to the Internet using social media, blogs, websites, etc...I have really turned this into a Project Me campaign and have a lot of other ideas to make this fun! So be on the look out! Everyone should start their own Project Me campaign...even if you are at goal weight or don't have to worry about your weight at all.
I know I gave my wonderful acceptance speech, but I really can't express in words what it means to me to finally achieve this weight loss milestone. It has been such an evasive goal....It was an emotional drive home that morning from my Weight Watchers meeting. This really has given me the self confidence and motivation to keep on getting it!
Just for a visual....Ten percent of the old me is a lot of weight! Let's see....it is equal to any of this:
3 Ten pound bowling balls
31 Packages of bacon
33 Cans of corn
124 Sticks of butter
124 McDonald's Quarter Pounders
651 Slices of cheese
4000 paint balls
All I have to say is WOW!
